IS THIS ELECTION FRAUD?
The GOP is attempting to get rid of any delegates that would support Ron Paul. How is that freedom of choice?
I want to thank paleryder for sending me this link.
NEWS RANT
Ok, I know I haven’t posted in a while. Super busy, excuse, excuse excuse, but I had to say something about the headlines coming out recently. National media has an agenda, plain and simple. No longer are there hard hitting news journalist digging for the truth and willing to take risks to inform the people of said truth. The thing that pains me the most is that so many people simply buy into it without even thinking about what they are reading or hearing. For instance:
“Futures Jump on Surprise July Job FiguresAP
Stock futures rose sharply after a July jobs report revealed the strongest hiring trends in five months.
The economy has added an average of 75,000 jobs a month from April through June, a sharp decline from the 226,000 jobs per month added in the first three months of the year.”
[How is that good news? Even though companies are hiring, far more people are being let go than are getting hired – see next headline.]
U.S. job growth steps up, but jobless rate rises
“LIMITED JOB DESTRUCTION
“We are not seeing large scale layoffs, so job destruction is pretty limited,” said Scott Brown, chief economist at Raymond James & Associates in St. Petersburg, Florida.” [HELLO!!! Corporations cut payroll to the bone 2 years ago! There are no more
to be laid off if the company wants to continues to operate!]
John Smithcommented on the article:
STATISTICAL BULL SHEET: the BLS turned a plunge in employment into a rise by simply “adding” 377K jobs for “seasonal purposes.” This was the largest “seasonal addition” for a July NFP print in the past DECADE. The Birth Death adjustment, which adds +52k is about 1000% higher (the last B/D adjustment was +5K). Of the 163,000 jobs “added”, 429,000 are BASED ON PURELY STATISTICAL BALONEY!
And this one from yesterday:
“Jobless Claims Rise Less Than ExpectedReuters
The number of Americans filing new claims for jobless benefits rose less than expected last week [but they still rose!], but the data continues to be influenced by distortions from seasonal auto shutdowns.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits rose 8,000 to a seasonally adjusted 365,000, the Labor Department said on Thursday. The prior week’s figure was revised up to 357,000 from the previously reported 353,000.” [Did everyone
catch that? Wanna bet this weeks will be as well?]
[So here comes the spin…] “Temporary plant shutdowns by automakers for annual retooling cause wide swings in claims data in July, which makes it difficult to get a clear picture of the labor market’s health.
Job growth averaged 75,000 per month in the second quarter, a sharp deceleration from the average monthly increase of 226,000 in the first three months of the year.” [think about this: if employers really did add that many jobs, but unemployment
claims still went up,…]
Someone commented: “how much more of this recovery can the nation endure?” [Sooo Appropriate!]
[Note: the comments in brackets are mine]
The masses aren’t uncomfortable enough care. They merely want to be distracted from the nagging dissatisfaction they are getting out of living the life someone else wants them to live.

WEARY
Wow, has it really been that long? Man, where to begin? I am just freaking beat. After spending the last 5 years getting my BBS, going to school half time and working full time (and then some), I am now dealing with the neglect that was imposed on my house as a result. So I work an insane number of hours for the overlords meeting the ridiculous deadline that was imposed to ensure that they can get their bonus this year, and then go home and work on my house before it falls further into disrepair. I am working on the exterior (trying to get it done before the real heat of summer kicks in) replacing wood that is rotting, scraping, sanding, caulking, getting ready to power wash, prime and paint. A couple of weeks ago we repainted the only interior room that had to be done, and while we were at it we updated it a little. It was one of my kid’s rooms and it had been many, many years since the last update. It needed to be done, a 16 year old needs a teenager room to help them feel more mature and independent. Needless to say, the tax return has been depleted. No vacation for you!
Work just sucks. I have busted my ass this year making things happen for people that don’t give a crap about anything other than their bonus, and I get nothing for it. My supervisor says “thanks”, and follows that up with “so did you get (some other thing) finished yet?” REALLY???? Are you so freaking clueless about what I just accomplished and how much effort it took that you think I had time to do these other things too? That is just insulting. I was putting in 12 hour days because “they” arbitrarily decided to move a deadline up by an entire week – at month end close – just so they could make sure they were on track to get there bonus. And now my supervisor’s boss wants us to start tracking what we do each day because he is concerned about the overtime! I am extremely insulted. We are being treated like children – like untrustworthy children. I am so pissed off! Hard work is not appreciated at all. Add to that the fact that there are some who can come and go as they please, spend the majority of the day being a distraction, and make the most money in the department, and the overlords see them as key contributors!

“LIBERTY MEANS RESPONSIBILITY,
THAT IS WHY MOST MEN DREAD IT” – GEORGE BERNARD SHAW
Wow, has it really been that long? Well, there are a couple of random thoughts I wanted to throw out there while they are fresh on my mind. First, liberty and the American Way are everything I have stated, but I have one more tenant to add: America was originally conceived to have people depending on each other – depending on their neighbors rather than the government or some other organization. Understand that I put the church in the category of neighbor, as opposed to organization.
The second thing is I had another opportunity over the holiday weekend to get my wife to see the value of prepping and resilience. She was out of sugar on Friday night and had already spent an hour at the grocery store. We were going to attend a cookout over the holiday weekend and she was going to bring brownies and carrot cake. The entire weekend was booked solid. As she started slipping toward clinical depression I stepped in and said, “I have sugar.” She replied “you do, really? Where”? I told her I had some in our food preps, and she asked “How much? Is it enough to make the brownies and cake?” I said “I don’t know, but it is a typical bag of sugar you buy at the store. 5 pounds I think.” She became elated and told me how wonderful that is. Jim Dandy to the rescue, just call me Johnny on the spot. So on top of getting to be hero for the day, she doesn’t see having redundancies in place as pointless as she did; and on top of that, she is going to replace the sugar for me the next time she goes to the store, so I now have her participating in prepping, she just doesn’t know it!
ACTION TAKEN TOWARD BECOMING RESILIENT
- Put primer on some more of the house, getting ready to paint it. I think preventative maintenance should be considered a form of resilience. It leads to reduce expenses down the road.
- Cookout with friends we haven’t seen since Christmas. Building a strong social network is vital to resilience in a SHTF situation. Note, I said ‘vital’, not ‘important’. That will be a topic I cover in a future post.
